Venue

Ol Tukai Lodge, Amboseli National Park, Kenya

Ol Tukai Lodge

Ol Tukai will be our home for the weekend - we’ll have the lodge to ourselves for the celebration.

At the foot of Kilimanjaro, inside Amboseli National Park, Ol Tukai sits in the landscape rather than looking at it — elephants in the marshes, wide savannah sky, the mountain holding the background with majesty.

We chose a setting that doesn’t need dressing up: Kenya as it is. It reflects what we want our marriage to stand on — real, natural, and rooted. The beauty is already here. The meaning comes from celebrating it with the people we love — your energy, your presence, your joy bringing the place to life as we begin ours together.

Ol Tukai - The Meaning

Ol Tukai means “Dark Palms” in Maa — the language of the Maasai people of this region. The name comes from the doum palms that endure Amboseli’s long dry seasons. They root deep, grow in pairs, steady through wind and heat, holding their shape through every season. Though a coincidence, the name feels fitting as we start our life together — grounded as one and ready to thrive through whatever comes our way.

Amboseli’s Elephants

Amboseli is internationally known for its elephant families - big herds, visible, moving through the marsh beside Ol Tukai like it’s the most normal thing in the world. They move together with a quiet confidence, steady and aware, looking after their own as the landscape shifts around them. Being in their presence is a reminder of what matters: staying close, moving forward, and keeping perspective. It feels like the right energy to begin a life together, and to share with everyone here.

Location

Located at the northern foot of Mt Kilimanjaro, Ol Tukai is in Amboseli National Park which is a 4 hour drive or a 40 minute flight from from Nairobi

If you’d like to stay at Ol Tukai itself, please RSVP promptly and our wedding team will help secure your room before they’re gone.
